Painting The Moment

Designed and painted by middle school students of Millenium School in San Francisco over the course of a 4 day internship workshop. We all worked together to impliment our ideas and dreams into a singular vision, and had great fun accomplished this painting together. In the words of the students: ‘‘Beginning in the morning, you walk outside into the grass and begin to express yourself. A rainbow sprouts from the typewriter as you type positive affirmations and sails through the sky, carried by wind. Above the masks of comedy and tragedy we see music notes emerging to be carried by the rainbow. A golden thread weaves a bridge between creativity and logic, and on into the roots of the natural world- that turn the gears of science. As the vibrancy of the rainbow illuminates a night sky, we see landmarks of San Francisco that bring us a sense of belonging. Stepping back we see the interconnectivity of Life; as a bigger picture comes into focus. “
