While traveling through Northern Thailand, I found a beautiful Burmese school and worked with youth of all ages to create art together. With a simple proposition of ‘what do you love?’ we began freely sketching ideas before moving into brushes and paint. Over the duration of 2 days, the youth collaborated with one another so seamlessly, and most importantly, were given the powerful chance to express themselves. A testament to the power of the creative process, though we did not speak the same language, we were able to communicate through creativity & art.
